I'm giving away an ARC of MATCHED by Ally Condie!

Since I'm a sucker for sharing a good book and I was fortunate enough to score 2 copies of MATCHED by Ally Condie, I'm going to make this a super easy contest. (sorry, I can't part with the personalized signed copy)

All I want is to know a little about you. I have a bunch of new faces in that little followers box and I'd like to know more about you. Are you a writer? A reader? What are you reading? How did you find me? Anything goes. All you need to do is be a follower (new or old) and leave a comment telling me something about you and you're eligible to win MATCHED. How easy is that? I promise that from page one you'll be hooked...

Contest guidelines - Open Internationally
*Contest will close Monday, August 16th at midnight EDT

1.You must be a follower
2. You must leave a comment sharing a little something about you
3. If you're google profile doesn't have contact info then please leave an email address in your comment.

And in case you haven't heard about this awesome book here's some info from Dutton Juvenile (Penguin). It doesn't release until November! How gorgeous is that cover and wait until you see the actual one, it's all shimmery and futuristic-looking.

Society matched them, but love set them free.

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate...until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

Okay, you already know that I'm a writer, so I'll tell you something you might not know about me.

I'm a cocktail!

I was born in the Philippines, my mother is Filipino (with a pinch of Chinese), and my father is American (with German, Irish, and Scottish roots). I'm also a former military kid, so we lived in various places around the world. So whenever someone asks me where I'm from I have a hard time answering, lol.

I'm a writer. Just finished my third manuscript and I started using the snowflake method for a story that has been brewing in my mind for quite a while.
I'm from Argentina. My books are multicultural with a pinch of magical realism. I love futbol, Flamenco music and books. I'm reading Linger now. Love that series.
Thanks for the opportunity to participate. I don't remember how I found you, but even though I don't comment much, I've been a follower for a while.

I write YA about trippy stuff. (I'm so not kidding about the Evil Elvii who spring from volcanoes.) I'm represented by Mary Kole at Andrea Brown Literary Agency, Inc.

In addition to writing, I am a school librarian, a baker, and a certified Beatle-maniac.

I sometimes answer to the name SCARLET WHISPER, Librarian/Rockstar/International Jewel Thief.

As a librarian, I’m a member of ALA, TLA, and AASL. As a writer, I’m a member of DFW Writers' Workshop. As a Beatle-maniac Baker, I belong to the imaginary Fab Four Stickybuns Society.

Hi, thanks for the great contest! :)
I was born in the Philippines. I am a huge bookworm and I have a huge library that I never bother to fix. :)) My mom is going to be one of the craziest people you'll meet, my dad? The most childish. :) I study at a Private Catholic School even though I'm not even Catholic. Ironic. I have a dream to leave the Philippines and move to the USA. I am never without a book, I get at least two a week. I have an incredibly rude, insensitive little sister. I have a best friend I tease a lot and her nickname is Berby. :)
The story of my life... :)

Hmm what can I tell you about myself. I occasionally bother you with writing questions so you know I'm a writer and you also know I'm a singer through my time on the Fallen Archangel forum.

What you may not know is that through my singing I've had the opportunity to travel. I've been to Europe and I've also been on a cross-country tour of the US all before I was 18 years old.

Very cool giveaway!
