Is it fall yet?

We haven't even hit summer yet in Pennsylvania and already I find myself craving the falling leaves and bushels of apples. Do I hate the warm weather? Am I a freak for carving pumpkins and raking leaves? Umm, no. Not at all. In fact, I love summer.

But for the love of God why must we have to wait all summer for The Vampire Diaries to come back on?

I haven't been this smitten with a TV since My So-Called Life! Never have I seen such insane plot twists. As a writer I'm constantly blown away by the sheer genius of the folks who write this stuff. And that says a lot coming from a girl who can spot the killer on like page 1 in most books, or sense a hookup just from reading the summary. Basically, it's super hard to surprise me in a story (TV/movie/book), but just about every week Vampire Diaries shocks me. And more than once each episode.

You've missed out if you didn't watch this season but the good news is you can go back and catch up this summer and be ready to faint with the rest of us come fall. Trust me, you won't be sorry.

Team Stefan or Team Damon...

LOVE Vampire Diaries! We DVR it and watch when we can, sometimes it may be three weeks later and we have a marathon, but we have to watch it. I think last night was the season finale, and I haven't see it yet...maybe tonight. And I'm definitely Team Damon. LOVE him. Love the bad guy with a vulnerability, that love/hates his brother but no matter how much he may despise him at the moment, he's always there to save him. Kind of like real life, we can trash our family but no one else can. And he has the best dialogue. He always gets the cool one liners. Stefan is okay, but he's kind of ho hum. Even when he went bad. Wasn't impressed.

ohmigosh! you're reading my mind here!

It's just so freakin' good. When Katherine did her thing at the end I was TOTALLY shocked.

Oh man, I want to watch a new episode RIGHT NOW!

Damon all the way. I love the dark, brooding types. Between Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, the fall can't come soon enough. (Hugs)Indigo

Seriously, Vampire Diaries is the only reason I look forward to cooler weather.

Oh. My. God. When this show first started, I didn't have the highest of expectations, but damn ... I freakin' love this show.

Team Stefan or Damon ... Man. I am in serious love with Damon (as may be quite obvious from my most recent blog post ...), and I love watching his internal struggles with beast vs. humanity. Plus, he and Elena have serious chemistry (I watched the last scene 3-4 times ... Hot. Ness.). Stefan is a little broody and moody for my taste, but he's definitely better for Elena. So I stand on the fence.

Absolutely love all the plot twists. It's one of the only shows I've ever watched where, even if I'm fairly certain so-and-so won't actually die, I inevitably get nervous and edgy at least once an episode.

Hurry up, fall! Maybe, to stave off some of the waiting, I'll rewatch the series over the summer. Or maybe I'll rewatch Buffy.
